JOIN IN THE FUN!


Summer Art Camp  now in its 24th year, was created by Monica Schraiber Otero and it is held at the Watchung Arts Center in Watchung, NJ.  Surrounded by the beautiful mountains and lakes of the area, the program offers a unique opportunity for young children to appreciate both Art and Nature as they draw,  paint and have picnic lunches at the lake 

Three cycles are scheduled Monday thru Friday    

                          10AM -3PM during the month of JULY.                                              

                                        Cycle I    July 11-16
                                        Cycle II  July 18-22
                                       Cycle III  July 25-29                     

                                      Bag Lunch Required                                 

NEW CENTRAL THEME : Masters of the Modern Age
Students learn about the life and works of Picasso, van Gogh, Matisse, O'Keeffe, Cezanne , Monet, Pollock, Reilly, Seurat, Mondrian , Kandinsky and others.
Pieces based on the theme will be created daily.   Each cycle, participants  will work on an acrylic painting suitable for framing!

 
PROJECTS VARY EACH WEEK

Art Camp culminates with a show in the Lower Gallery featuring works from all three cycles.  Family and friends are invited to the opening reception. Date TBA

SPECIAL DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE FOR TWO OR MORE CYCLES as well as SIBLINGS.

Each camper will design their own T-shirt!

 
Students younger than 6 years of age are encouraged to spend a day at Art Camp on a trial basis before registering for the program (fee applies).
