Registration is ongoing for the new session the Summer Art Camp at the Watchung Arts Center in Somerset County, NJ. The program runs from July though July 29. Sign up for one cycle at atime or for all three for a complete experiencce!
This year's central theme is Masters of the Modern Age.
During the three weeks of creative activities, participants ages 6-12 will explore the life and works of many famous artists as they create one project a day based on the various techniques and subject matter.
Workshops in many artforms including drawing, painting, sculpture, pritmakning, ceramics using air-dry clay, collage and papier mache among others are scheduled throughout the day.

Art Camp 2015 themed "Colors of the World" had over 30 sign-ups including many children who enjoyed all three weeks of the program.
The season culminated with a wonderful exhibition of the children's work which was on display in the Lower Gallery and the Studio for all to admire.
The Opening Reception held on Wednesday, July 22 was very well attended by family and friends who had many an accolade for the exhibiting young artists!
A newspaper reporter came to visit during the last week, talked to the participants and took many photos. As a result, the program was featured in an article in the July 30, 2015 edition of the Watchung/Green Brook Echoes-Sentinel. Great job everyone!

The Spring Enrichment Workshops at the Watchung Arts Center is now is session!
Drawing class has returned to Tuesdays and Painting is once again on Thusdays both from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
Students are welcome to join at anytime during the eight-week program. One day trial classes are available (Fee Applies)

The Enrichment Workshops at the Watchung Arts Center ran the Fall 2013 Session successfully completing the 10 weeks of classes despite the harsh, snowy weather!
The NEW Winter Session is now in progress and there is still plenty of time to sign-up since you can join at anytime.
During this cycle, Painting is on Tuesdays and Drawing on Thursdays both 4:30-6:00 PM

Summer Art Camp 2013 took the children's imaginations on a trip around the world! Students explored cultures and art forms from six continents as they created an array of projects including cave paintings, totem poles, masks, ancient clay tablets, lanterns, pottery, kirigami and flying machines to name a few. They were excited to learn about famous artists as well such as Picasso, Seurat and Leonardo da Vinci.
The three weeks of creative activities culminated with an exhibition in the Lower Gallery on July 26. Parents , relatives and friends who attended the reception were mesmerized to see the talent diplayed. Thanks to the great response to the program this year, the show extended to the Studio and classroom area! Students also received a T-shirt with a unique design of their own.

REGISTER NOW! for the 2013 Summer Art Camp at the Watchung Arts Center in the beautiful Watchung Mountains.
Three one-week cycles (10 AM- 3PM) are offered starting July 8 thru July 26 for children ages 6-12.
This year's central theme IT'S A COLORFUL WORLD! focuses on art forms from past and present cultures from around the globe.
Students wil also create other projects using a variety of wet, dry and 3-D media.

The Winter Session of the Enrichment Workshops at the Watchung Arts center is well on its way!
Students from the various surrounding areas have signed up for one or more sessions. They include those who have returned to the program and others who have joined for the first time. All participants are enjoying creating projects ranging from shaded still lives to acrylic landscapes.
Painting class concludes on Tuesday, March 12.
There will be one make up Drawing class on Thursday, March 21, from 4:30-6:30 PM.
